Does the property have a washing machine?
Yes both sides of the house have a washer dryer to share between 4 people.
Does the property have broadband?
Yes the property has broadband included in the price of the room.
Is the property on a bus route?
Yes there is a bus 1 minute walk from outside of the property for more details please Goole the C1 or C12 on the Uno bus website. Also the university is only a 30 minute walk or 10 minute cycle ride.
Do I need to pay council tax?
No this is included in the price of the room.
Can I view the property?
Yes this is no problem please email us at accommodation@1bourneend.co.uk and we can arrange a viewing between 10 and 4 Monday to Friday. For a quick over view of the property thought please have a look at our tour page.
Does the property have a garden?
Yes there is a large shared garden at the property.
Do I have to pay any other bills?
Broadband, Gas, Water and Electric are all included in the price of the room.
How many people will I be sharing with?
The house is split into two halves which have a total of 4 rooms either side so you will be sharing with 3 other people.
How much is the deposit?
Deposit is one months rent.
Are all the tenants students?
The majority of people interested in the property are students but generally it is rented out to people who work locally, work up at the university or are students of the University. The landlord does not live in the property.
What furniture is in the room?
We are flexible with what is in the room as we can swap furniture around if you have your own favourite chair or even bed, but the room normally contains a double or single bed, wardrobe and desk with chair.
Car I park my car at the property?
Yes there is generous off road parking at the property enough room for each tenant to have one car.
Where is the closest shop?
The closest shop is around 2 miles from the property, a short bike ride into the village. There are two stores a Budgens and a Co-op..
How is rent paid?
Rent is paid monthly by standing order directly from your bank to ours, to save any complications. Details of this can be emailed over if you contact accommodation@1bourneend.co.uk.
What are the sizes of the rooms?

What is the safety of the property like?
The property is very safe. Each bedroom has its own lock to keep your belongings safe in your room and then each side of the house has its own lock as well. The property is located in a quiet part of Cranfield so there is minimum traffic or passers by.
Is there a place to store my bike?
We have a shared shed for the property where people are able to store items they don't which to have in their room.
Do you have smokers in the house?
We do allow smoking tenants to live in the house but we do ask they them to smoke outside or in their rooms, not in communal areas unless it is agreed by all tenants.
Does the property have shared kitchen equipment?
Originally no, but students have left clean plates, bowls and cutlery over time so there is a small amount of kitchen equipment included with the property.
How long is the tenancy agreement?
We generally issue 10 month tenancy agreements as a minimum but we are open to shorter terms as long as you find someone else to fill your room when you leave.
How do I reserve a room?
A room is reserved on a first come first serve bases. This is done with two months’ rent (one month being a deposit, and the other the first months rent) and a sign tenancy agreement which can be emailed over to you if you contact accommodation@1bourneend.co.uk.
Can I hire a bike?
We do have one bike with the property which can be used by the tenants but it is simply on a first come first serve basis.
Do your rooms have en-suites?
Room 2 is the only room in the house with an en-suite all other rooms share one bathroom between 4 rooms.
